PostSubject: Wet a line.   Wet a line. EmptyTue May 22, 2018 8:40 am

On holiday in Conwy for two weeks so decided to wet a line yesterday. Went to the Prom just before the Arches at Colwyn Bay armed with some frozen lug and a packet of squid. Got there about 14.30 two hours before high and packed up at 19.30 two hours after high, had a nice time caught 2 Whiting not big but the first this year. It's so easy fishing there you don't even have to get out of your car if you don't want to you lot are so lucky. There most of been 20 to 30 rods out at high along that stretch by the time I left it was down to about 6. One or two with feathers but nothing came in the chap one to my left had a nice little Bass. I will give it another go later this week. fishing fish fish

Nice to hear you had a bash KD,and especially that you didn't blank.
If you are looking for somewhere,Llandulas car park is handy(where the shore defence rocks are)
Plenty of room to set up a camping stove and table.
I have fished it with a float 1.5hrs before high and 1hr after.
There's a disused boat ramp you can stand on to fish.
The float keeps your hook out of the boulders.
If you follow the little river back under the expressway, there's a little woods with picnic tables, lovely little spot. The road you are on comes out back on the main Llandulas road at the bridge over the river.
If you turn left at the bridge and go a few hundred yards up,there's a left turn for Llandulas beach, which has a big car park and a pub(and a cafe I think)It's an interesting beach at low tide.
You may already know about it,but I've been going and taking the family there for years,it's well worth a look.
Have a nice holiday cheers

Casting must be difficult without getting out of the car! Convertible is it?

We are lucky to live here, mountains and sea on our doorstep, wouldn't want to live inland ever again.
