Good night and lots of great people.
Arrived early and found so had a load of others, made our way down the breakwater in the car (so much better than the usual long walk
)
Starting off with a few whiting which were quite small, had loads of good knocks but they must have been tiny as they never connected.
Group of 7 to my right had two dogfish between them and a surprise! one lad cast in and was literally into something before it hit the water, must be 100lb he shouted as he brought it in, "its massive" as we all peered in amazement as he got it in....a bloody seagull, he cast out and got it as it was flying past!!
We were all in stitch's, so random. It was fine and flew off with no issues apart from its little shock.
Scotty who came with me was throwing out huge bait and hadn't had a knock, I said just pop it over the ledge about 8 metres out. He did but wasn't convinced, he left it about 20mins and just as he decided to lob it back out off it went.
His first conger which won him second place at 30inch
