I have been a member since 2008 ... finally I get some responsibility Reminder of the rules ... To enter simply add a picture of your fish and at the end of the month the Winner will receive a prize. It won't necessarily be the biggest fish that wins. Fresh water or Sea fish. (Maximum of 4 fish pictures each per month)

I will try to uphold the sunnyrhyl laws, but "It won't necessarily be the biggest fish that wins. " so including a pot or crate in the picture with your fish could court some favor.

The judge is judging Having reviewed evidence presented to me in the form of fishing reports and fish of the month pictures, I am of the opinion that there may have been a few suspect submissions this month :- Fish held at arms length for the picture (Degs - Thorny - for Father Ted fans it is a clear case of "small, not far away"), Blatant use of soft focus (Degs - Huss ), Pictures of fish we don't know the name of (Rhod - Hiwihiwi ), Possibly catching the same pike twice ( Stevo ), Emails asking to win fish of the month but forgetting to submit any pictures of fish (Logger) And no pictures of pots or crates! No decision yet. I need to sleep on this one.

The judgement has been handed down. Firstly my plaudits to all who have caught fish in a cold and wet british January. Slightly fewer plaudits to those in warmer climates. The judge has decided there is no clear winning fish. However, as the plural of "fish" is also "fish", then I see no reason why multiple fish should not win fish of the month. The result :- Third place to Hoppy for the double species double header sea scorpion and rockling. Second place to Rhod for his snapper, kahawi, yellow eye mullet and Hiwihiwi. And the winner (again) Stevo for two (maybe just one) pike and the codling smaller than his bait. Anyone prepared to submit their own picture of such an embarassingly small fish is deserving of reward. I appreciate this judgement may cause some controversy. That was always going to be the way with me as judge.
