Venue - Notbad Gully
Tide - Low
Time - Day
Bait - Fresh Lug

A return to last nights venue. Tactics as per yesterday.
Fresh Lug on a Wormy Special.
Due to the lighter winds, a 4oz gripper replaced the 6oz.

Top of todays list of 'Things you don't see often on Rhyl Beach' was this little fella.

I caught sight of him in 2 inches of water and ended up giving him a helping hand back to where he belonged.

On the fishing front, a Silver Eel opened up the proceedings.

Notbad joined me.

It didn't take long for him to register a bite.

A nice little Schoolie gave us hope of a repeat of last nights performance.

A repeat it was when I had a good knock and this one came in.
Measured at 42cm.

Notbad was busy.
A decent Flounder added to the species tally.

Meanwhile, The Maestro was now setting up.

He was in luck too!

Notbads pet Bass made an appearance on my rig before a slightly larger one ended my account for the night.

A look back to the metropolis,
With thoughts of that Octopus,
Ended another fantastic session.

There's no stopping you at the moment Mike, you'll be getting a call from Alan Yates to do a feature in Sea Angler. I notice you are now a Mullet hunter on the forum, with your good fortune at the moment, it might be an omen. geek

Smile
Tony,
I can fluke a fish at the low water mark like the best of them.
I'll be leaving the Mullet to the big boys though.

This expired last week.

I've renewed but it will take a while for things to get back to normal.

She'll be back !

Mike, another great report to remember a great session by!

here's my pics

After you left we fished on into the night until we were within 100 yards of the prom. - waste of time really. Low water is where it's at, if you haven't caught by your second cast go home!

This morning (Sunday) we were up and at 'em again before that chicken opened its eyes,
third Low on the trot! A lot less breeze, chop and weed;
and the crabs have moved in and are hungry - several of them clinging on until ashore.

Maestro had this on his first retrieve,

I’m disallowing it though as it was foul-hooked in the bum No
-talk about taking the piss.

Then he played really dirty and mentioned bacon butties bounce
-I packed up and left for breakfast.
