An Enemy on Rhyl Beach Empty

Venue - Rhyl, Splash Point
Tide - Low
Time - Day
Bait: Fresh Lug
Date: 11th March 2009

I was fishing directly out from Splash Point on what was a big tide.
Very big actually!
As well as casting a line, it provided a great opportunity to inspect various exposed gully's and features not normally in view.

First cast brought a minor result.
A fish!!!!
In the shape of this Winters staple, the humble Rockling!

A right chubby one at that.
Either heavily pregnant or stuffed from a hearty breakfast, she was safely returned.

A couple of more casts and it was quiet.

A snag on my final cast pulled free.
A foul hooked Sea Anemone.

Proof, if it were needed, that there are some rocky features out there on Rhyl Beach.

Happy Days!!!
