Connah's Quay Empty
PostSubject: Connah's Quay    Connah's Quay EmptySun Oct 11, 2015 7:45 pm

Had my first fishing trip to Connah's Quay this morning with my old mate Dave L Cool

We fished an hour up to high and an hour and a half down fishing

Mike Peters from CBVSAC came down to see how we were getting on too, good to see you again Mike  Very Happy

We had a variety of bait with fresh Lug, frozen lug, Squid, Sandeel, Mackerel and Razor.

It was slow going but the banter was good and the weather was kind sunny

I was first in with a Pin Whiting albeit foul hooked Embarassed
Then a cast or two later I had a nice plump Flounder cheers
And that was it for me Sad

Dave played catch up and also had a Pin Whiting followed by an even nicer plumper Flounder than mine then shortly afterwards showed his matchman skills by bringing in another while my rods stayed static Sad

Not many fish to report I'm afraid but it was a totally enjoyable trip and I look forward to going back cheers
The bait which seemed to attract the fish was the fresh Lug if anyone is planning a trip there Wink

Which side were you Dave?

Upriver by the looks of it, it's an interesting walk along there
