Myself and my nephew Arthur met Alan this morning at 7am for a session over low.
The original plan was to fish Talacra but with the car parking being as it is we opted for Mostyn. A big tide like today's doesn't really suit this venue but we managed to hold bottom and we had bites galore
It was nice and sunny when we arrived but soon the mist rolled in quite thickly and we were glad we didn't go to Talacra after all
The bites kept coming but the fish didn't... until I hooked into a Pin Whiting Blank avoided but only just
The place must have been full of them as the rod tips kept getting knock after knock but resulting in nothing but empty hooks
Alan's mate Bryn joined us a little later but only got the same nibbly bites that we were getting
Alan managed to land three or four of the little terrors but that was it
As the mist came it brought a chill giving an eerie feel to the place as the Curlews fell silent as if night had come early, as the sun broke through again the sound of the bird song rose and with it the hope of a fish on my line and the warm sun on my back
No real fish but the sun was nice
Here comes the mist
Despite the lack of fish we had plenty of laughs and a good chat
Good to see you again Alan

Odd though Tatch no matter how I tried I just couldn't get the Dab, Plaice, Flounder or Whiting to take my 12/0 hook
