I thought it's about time I did a review on my ugly stik gx2 spinning rod.

And let me tell you it's a cracking little rod very light and well made
and I only paid £26 for it from go outdoors what a bargain cheers

It's ideal for spinning, lfr, drop shot fishing or even having a bit of fun
around the harbour with a 2oz lead flounder fishing
i'd even take it on the boat for flatties or it would be great
fun with a smoothound on it fishing

The only thing that I would say is that the reel seat feels and look's cheap
I think Shakespeare could have made more of a effort with this has the
rest of the rod feels and look's great.

stevo give's it a 8/10 bye

I'm putting one of these on my Christmas list (only 105 days to go  santa  ).

Which version did you go for? I am thinking about maybe getting the 4 piece packable one.

I got the 7ft version which is good but I got my lad the 6ft one
And that just seems better more comfortable to use great
Little rods though Very Happy

Great to see a review

I've a couple of Ugly Stiks in heavier weights and wondered about adding one of these to the family
