Venue - Holyhead Breakwater
Tide - High
Time - Day
Bait: Fresh Ragworm
Date: 10th July 2009

Another trip to Holyhead for me. This time I opted to fish the outer wall just before the start of the Breakwater.

Fresh Rag was the only bait.
I ledgered small sections on single size 8's and full worms on size 2's.
On the float, small sections on size 4 feathers.
In addition, I did drop down a bait trap loaded with Mackerel fillets.

There were bites from the off.

The colours on the Ballans were spectacular.

Plenty of small Corkwings too.

The only other species to fall to baited hook was a single Sea Scorpion.

I had been hoping for a Pollock on the float.
Not to be, but Ballans and Corkwings were rising to the occasion.

The best fish of the day was caught on the bottom fished size 2 with a full worm.

There was only one species interested in the Mackerel inside the bait trap.
Gobies!!!!!!
Lots of them!!!!

Another great session.
Bites were non-stop upto and over high. Things slowed down 2hrs after, but by then I was glad of a rest.

Happy Days!!!
