Good to be back !! Talacre 24/1/15

Not been sea fishing since mostyn in October so was chomping at the bit to get out this sat , first job get some lug from Flint tackle , then a coffee from macdonalds and meet joe Roberts there for a natter , good see you joe and well done on the codling ! .arranged to meet my good mate logger and ade and his son at talacre for a two hour each side of low attack ..we all had a chat and a catch up as I've not seen logger for months

It was a big tide so opted to fish one rod with a three hook flapper ,size ones

First cast full house but only small

Ade second cast produced a nice plump codling


So with tide ebbing hard and codling showing a changed to a two hook flapper and beefed my baits up for the codling ,fished to slack water only whiting showing and no codling showing to the other lads rods ..

Then with slack water a changed to smaller baits and plain lead for the dabs had about 10 ,putting the smaller ones back then I had a nice one !!

Then as the tide started to push I changed back to my codling attack !!logger and ade and his son packed up as I just had a good rattle and coddo number one was landed..

Then second cast coddo number two with a dab riding side saddle

Then I hooked a very heavy weight I thought it was a good coddo ,but it turned out to be a bag full of sand lol , then it was time to get of before I was cut off lol .thanks dave ,ade for a great night company ,it was a cold wind last night and was glad to get back to the car for a warm drive back stoke !!
Can't wait for the bass to kick in ..
