| That had me stumped, bits of it I can work out, I tried the Maori King (Te Arikinui Tuheitia Paki) at Turangawaiwai Marae in Ngaruawahia, but he was too busy! |

| A bit off topic but Rhod might be interested ... There are quite a number of Maori house names ( "tepapa" ) in the town I live in, and a "Maori Drive". There is a connection with a vicar who introduced beekeeping to N.Z. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Cotton_(missionary) |

It says "I've been around a bit" I think
Thanks both of you, translating Maori to English is a minefield as the language was never written, and words have multiple meanings, also dependent on their place in the sentence. I am impressed with your efforts. |

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Cotton_(missionary) Thanks Musselman, Frodsham was not on my travel routes. I have a couple of mates who are amateur bee keepers here, but NZ only had solitary bees which lay an egg with pollen in tiny holes in clay banks or hard bare soil. |
