Splash Point match tonight

We only had 9 members fishing tonight, but we had a hell of a match, whiting. dabs, flounders, and a lone codling, there were a lot of undersize fish amongst them, but some of the whiting were the best we`ve seen yet this year, this one of Norman's went 40 cms. and weighed 1-01-08 lbs. just beaten by an ounce and a half by Dave Lunt`s codling The picture of the codling didn`t come out, (who said digital cameras were idiot proof )  


Mike Peters won the match with 18 whiting and 10 dabs for a weight of 6.30 kgs.
Norman was nearest in 2nd with 14 whiting, 3 dabs and a flounder. My 8 dabs, 4 whiting and a flounder only got me 7th place,

It might not attract a lot of attention over on your coast, but it`s a good one for here, our specimen size is 1lb. 4 oz. and they`re as common as rocking horse droppings.

Yes we do keep in size edible fish for weighing, we have a catch and release system for doggies and a bag limit on the summer rock fishing venues.
