Splash Point match last night

Our match at Splash Point last night was fished by 18 anglers, including Mehmet , who joined us as a guest for the night. The dabs were there in numbers, along with a few flounders, whiting, and rockling, there were plenty of small codling around, but none made the 35 cm. size limit. Everyone weighed in, mostly dabs, with some over 12 ounces, but there were a lot of them just undersize
I got off to a good start and was leading at the half way stage with 6 dabs and a flounder,



but the wheels came off after that and everything was undersize with just one more in-size dab in the last half.
The winner was Mike Peters with 9 dabs and 2 whiting for 2.27 kgs. just 10 grams ahead of 2nd place Dave Radcliffe with 12 dabs for 2.26.
I managed 4th spot with my 1.95 kgs. but Mehmet will want to forget the match fishing, 17th of 18 on his own beach.
