Our club match on Saturday should have been at Flint cob, however I was contacted on Thursday by the site manager of the contractors working there and told that there was no access. This meant a change of plan, so we moved to Greenfield.
The torrential rain that had us soaked through before we even booked in had eased to a steady downpour by the time we started fishing, and lo and behold, after about an hour the sun came out
The excess of fresh water in the river didn`t do us much good, but we all managed to weigh in something at least.
The winner, Mike Peters, thrashed us all with 8 flounders and 2 eels for 3.47 kgs. I was closest to him with 4 eels, 2 flounders and a dab for 2.29 kgs.
The heaviest fish was a plaice of 0.76 ( 1-10-08 lbs.) for Dave Lunt, beating one of my flounders by 3 ounces.
