with the bit of bloom and easterly winds I decided to fish the dee with a mate from work and see if we could land our self some codling or plaice now the crabs are in full swing.
got to the venue 3 hours before high used 2 hook flappers on one rod and pulley rigs with big baits on the other.
1st cast in to the hole and within 5 mins our 1st and only codling.
then on it was a few dabs and flounder followed by the plaice.
followed by more plaice.
and a few more plaice.
ln all we had 14 plaice 6 flounder 3 dabs and 1 codling in 4 hours. we sacked it just after high when the sun got a bit to much.
