only a small tide and weather due to get rough later in the day so decided to take my boys mostyn was going be all the family wife and little libby as well but with the weather going be bad they spent the day at cheshire oaks leaveing me with the boys.pulled into my fav spot for plaice and bonus park your car right by it witch was a god send with all the clobber to take the kids for the day coolbox full to bursting with grub and bags full of spare cloathes if they get wet muddy etc .set up camp ,if you wont to keep boys interestd and not get board set them up a fire and you cant go wrong .
started two hr before low two rods one for me and a bass rod for the boys to share when i can drag them away from the fire lol.two hook flappers size ones loaded with peeler chucked them in then went scrapeing for some crab me and alfie got about twenty mainly softies and a few peeler.
first chuck caught a pin whiteing , then baits untuched till the flood started and i had a nice plaice of 38 cm
then about 2o mins later plaice number two ,the boys rod not having much luck . funny isnt it when you fish two rods together same rigs and bait and just the one produces the goods.
then oldest lad jack the lad stole the show with this beast at 40 cm cracking fish he was well made up.
after that fish it was alfie turn to latch into one well done kid
my rod was redundend now just coming up to high the hevens opended and the wind was wipping up big time .seven hours spent on the beach without them argueing kicking off is unheard off ,the fire kept them busy and i spent some proper good time with my boys priceless ,little freddie didnt get a turn because the weather had beaten him and he wonted to go home i was more than ready to take them home to show there proud mum there catch.they ate everything in the coolbox fresh air they real enjoyed them selfs and got them of there computer games.
no day out with the kids is complete without macdonalds happy days
tea sunday night cant wait
till next time all the best tim and jack alfie and freddie
