Went to rhoscolyn this afternoon to fish three down four up, arrived to
see a fair bit of algae froth but the water nicely coloured after fri/saturdays
wind.
The first couple of hours were the usual script of doggies and the odd
whiting so did some spinning for pollock, had half a dozen but all small,
about a pound, the dogs eased a bit so did a bit of wrassing, caught
a couple of small ballans then tap tap bang and me flattie fanatic bent
over double, a spirited fight and my best wrasse was landed at 4lb-4oz.
Shortly after had a decent bite on one of my big rods and a small male spotty came in.
Went quiet for a bit so carried on wrassing, only getting a couple more
small ballans and a little pollock then a couple of clicks of the ratchet
signified a better fish than a doggy and a nice little common was landed
5- -1/2 lb.
Gave it another hour then called it quits, with a sunburnt face and monkeys a**e
