Took the day off on Friday and headed up to the Island, the target being Llanbdarig (never been before).
I walked along the top of the rocks for a while trying to decide on the best looking ledge to set up on and one that I thought I could get to easily enough. I had to give up a couple of times half way down, due to the steepness and climb / scamper back up.
I finally got down and set up my float rod and 1 other rod at distance, within 10 minutes or so I had a decent pull down on the float rod, but missed the fish, re-baited and cast back in (float stop set at around 20 feet).
Had another bite and pulled in this one !
That was all I the action I had on the float rod, I got this one on my distance rod
Apart from about half a dozen doggies that was it, bait was Rag, lug, Mackerel, Squid and Razor clam, I got there at just about high water and stayed for about 5 hrs fishing it down, then it was the climb back up !!
Wouldn’t you think the council would install a chair lift or something .
