Went to the west of the island on sunday, would have prefered to go on fri/sat when conditions were better but sunday it was, arrived just before high
to a flat sea and beautifull weather !!.
Fished the usual one pulley for rays and a flapper for the small stuff,plenty of small codling, whiting and the odd dog in the day, had a go for wrasse
but only had two, another week or two and they should wake properly.
Had the one decent fish at dusk, a thorny of about 6lb which came in tail
first and felt heavier than it was.
Stayed into darkness for a few hours but only the dogs were playing
It was worth going out for the weather alone and a decent thornie rounded
it off nicely.
