Took today off work and headed up to the island for a session sitting on a rock in the sun !

I
Stopped off at Jokers for bait and a cuppa (thanks Joe) and headed off to Amlwych to a little cove Joe told me about last year, last year there I managed to land loads of Wrass on the float rod so expectations where high!

I got to the cove (mark A on the map) and fished it for 2 hours with the float rod and a bog rod out with no success) so packed away and decided to have a mooch further up the headland (mark B), did the same here for a further 3 hours, Had some good bites, and hooked into a few good sized fish but there must be some mean kelp and rocks under the water because every one snapped me off !

Bait was Rag, Squid, Mackerel and black

In the end all I managed to get were 3 doggies on a mackerel and squid cocktail, still, it was better than being in the office, and the A55 was a nightmare of a drive home too.

Tight lines!
