dropping alright, I had -4 on the dash an hour ago.

No sign of any grit on the roads around town, had a touch of wheel spin turning up the Vale Road bridge!

I've improvised a "get out of bother" mixture of cheapo cat litter, dishwasher salt, sugar, sand, sawdust and pulverised brick to keep in the boot along with my folding spade, towrope, travel blanket, wellies, extra clothing, torch and emergency rations!

I've spent the last 3 days in Powys, minus 5 is relatively warm!
The external temp read out fairly rocketted as I returned to the semi-tropical waters of SunnyRhyl!

I was looking forward to the view on a flight to Cardiff and back tomorrow but as the Valley "Airport" service has closed due to the weather it was looking like it meant driving from Rhyl to Valley just to check in and get frisked, then being bussed to Hawarden for the flight, then Cardiff return flight to Hawarden to be bussed back to Valley to collect my car then doubling back on myself driving back to Rhyl! - er think not.
