| Fished “Angel Bay” on the Little Orme yesterday, I called at jokers on the way but he wasn’t open at 8:10am, so the only thing to do was to go for a Breakfast to kill some time! I cant remember the name of the place, but its up to the T Junc from Jokers, turn right, and its there on the right, bacon, eggs, fried bread, mushrooms, sausage, black pudding, toast and a coffee for £4:50 well worth a visit. Anyway had me breakie and went back to Joe’s for me bait and a natter. I arrived at the steps to the quarry about 2.5 hours before high water and set off (thanks to Dogger for the exact directions to the ledge), by the way dagger, you were right on the button about “squeaky bum time” going along that path then down ! Baits were Mack, Black, Squid and Sand Eel, in the 4 hours I fished, I never had a single bite, and even the crabs seemed to be elsewhere as the baits kept on coming back un-touched! I fished one rod on the bottom and the other on the float both at distance and close in, deep on the float and shallow, absolutely nowt about! A cracking place to fish (though not for the feint hearted or to be honest a place to go on your own), its just a shame no one told the fish ! Looking back along the path to the ledge The actual ledge Looking up from the ledge Looking across the bay The route down The view of the ledge from the top path |

| Great report Ian.
That breakfast sounds like it was worth the trip alone.
Don't know if I fancy that path though. I'd need Headwyn to guide me if I did!
A beautiful looking spot and I guess the nearest 'rock' mark to Rhyl? |
