Way Out West!!!

Time - Dusk/Night
Bait - Fresh Lug, Frozen Razor, Frozen Lug, Fresh Squid, Frozen Mackerel, Fresh Whiting Filet
Date - 2nd May 2010

I hitched a ride in the new Sunnyrhyl Sea Fishing Taxi to Holyhead Breakwater for an evening session fishing Low up.

Notbad, The Maestro and I had a good selection of baits to choose from. Morrisons bait counter supplemented the free bait shop's offerings of Fresh Lug and Razor.

We setup halfway between the Green Light and the end.

It was quiet on there, with only half a dozen other cars.

I was fishing 3 rods. One whacked out with a 3 hook flapper, one dropped down with a single small hook and one flicked out with a big hook.

At range, the beachcaster was first to signal a bite. A Whiting fancied some Fresh Lug.

The Sun and The Stena Adventurer both departed!

The Maestro had a few knocks that didn't develop. Meanwhile, Notbad had a good rattle and a bit of a rod bend!

A Codling was into the Fresh Lug too!

My middle rod was next!

A Sea Scorpion caught right by the wall.

I had another strong bite that seemed to be a dead weight on the retrieve.

The breed their crabs like they build their Breakwaters here in Holyhead......... Big!!!!

The Maestro was still waiting!!!!!!!!

Meanwhile Notbad was into a Doggie. (or was it a small Huss??)

The only interest I had on the big hook was a couple of Doggies.

Sadly, time was not on The Maestro's side tonight. Just past midnight, our Taxi was waiting.
