| Passed Splash Point at 6:15 this morning(28th April).
2 Persons out tending to a fixed net, placed at the low water mark approx out from the 'flashy light'. From a distance, there was at least one fish pulled from it.
Looks to be a different operation to the nets East of here last year. Anyone else seen anything? |

| Ive just passed the Point a couple of times.
On the outward journey there were 3 fellas putting wellies on behind a car but no sign of tackle or pumps.
On the way back, they were all standing near the waters edge, still no pumps/rods so were possibly waiting for their net to uncover? |

| I passed the point at 17.30 saw 4 men waiting and I noticed 1 pole sticking out at low mark, I believe they were setting nets or waiting their fish harvest. |

| 1930hrs - 2 men with a blue box waiting near the end of the Garford Road groin. On a similar note, This evening, by the Sun Centre I found the following.............. 2 Car batteries, half a breeze block and a few bricks with a length of cut rope. The batteries were about 50yds apart. I'm no expert, but it looks like an ideal tether for a net. Or maybe I'm reading too much into this! If it was evidence of a net, at least they are showing signs of moving 200yds eastwards each day. Look out Prestatyn!!!!!! |

| Must agree this behaviour is disgraceful. From info received the beach from Splash to the FForyd netting is banned, while the Prestatyn reaches are a free for all.I think now is the time to try for a Ban based on good evidence. This afternoon I will be e-mailing (local papers agencies and who-ever I think could help) I am a great believer in people-power, so the more that pester the authorities the sooner they realise the importance of this issue. Battery acid on the beach has left my blood boiling too. If nothing serious happens about the netting at least I will have simmered down by trying. |

| Just for information the NWNWSFC has been disbanded as of the 1st April 2010. WAG are taking matters into their own hands. If you would like further information on this. PM me.

Furthest West one I've seen is well inside illegal area. |

| Because of my connection to another web site www.cpwf.co.uk I had a phone call from Phil Capper (principle fisheries officer for WAG tonight to say that he had been down to splash point tonight to have a look at the netting situation. He found the net, which didn't have the owners details anywhere on the nets, which rendered the net illegal. The net was then cut into 3 pieces, and the 4 fish in the net was returned to the sea. There was a bass, a sea trout, a mullet, and a doggy. The 3 guys who owned the net was given a verbal warning, about fishing in that location, and also because the net did not have the owners details on it. So we shouldn't see any more nets in that location.
If anybody does see a net in this location, you can either pm me and I will report it, or you can report it by ringing 0800 807060 which is the EA. Or go to www.cpwf.co.uk and report it through their reporting page. Either way you can remain anonymous if you so wish.
There where a few phone calls made by guys from this site to the EA. So pat yourselves on your backs, we got a result.
Well done all.

| Terry was down there on the prom while Phil was on the beach. He went down on his own to tackle the three lads with the net and gave them a good bollocking!
Great news about it being cut up and removed and a big well done to Phil and thanks for your work, and bravery. |
