Fished North shore friday evening 4:30pm to 10:30pm.
High water 7:30 only a small tide, fished to the right of the RNLI flat calm most of the night.
Caught 1 smoothhound, 2 whiting, 1 dog and a pouting which is a first for me, well pleased.
The old man had 2 smoothhound, 4 whiting and a very large crab.
I also had a whiting hooked but the body had been bitten off quite cleanly by something, unfortunately i didn't manage to get that monster.
Only 3 others fishing mostly spinning but didn't see anyone else catching, must be doing something right then.
Will give Press me Hat tin a go this week as the tides look good.

thanks Rebsie.

Great stuff ... the "old man" still catching more. Probably some experience thing. Learn from him   Laughing   .

Pouting a bit unusual up here. Used to be a frequent catch for me when I was on the hampshire coast years ago. Dyl catching a cod last week as well. Somethings going on. scratch

Nice going RebsieI had the feeling you would get in the swing.
Press yer 'at in should have plenty of smoothies this time of the year. (on the right of the boat club, looking out to sea)
Smoothies will take small shore crabs.
There's an Aussie on tube using a cage feeder with mashed fish in it on a sliding ledger for a scent trail.(weight attached to the feeder.)
It's an idea I had but never had the opportunity to try.
Higher tides on the way towards weekend.
Looking forward to your next post.

Well done R it sound as if you both had some fun. Did you see any Seals about they will follow your catch in and take a snaps at it. We were fishing of the breakwater at Brixham a few years ago and a Seal followed my son’s catch in and throw it self at the breakwater to get at the fish he had caught quite a sit there quite big when you get up close.

We were parked on Llandudno North Shore prom at the Lifeboat Station end around High today watching the world go by.
Two seals were working the water edge, one about 50 yards out but the other kept popping up all of 15 feet out, shows how quickly it shelves.

Could see a lot of weed in the water,
Two or three were fishing but we didn't notice any fish landed.
Fishes better at night here.
