| Venue - Deganwy Tide - Rising Time - Evening Date - 30 April 2011 Weather - Sunny, warm but windyTook mussel boy for an Easter outing to the beach. Stopped off at Jokers for bait, and got a big tip from the Joker. It was a new tip ring for my old beach caster. Thanks Joker. He also advised against fishing the North Shore, but we were intent on trying. It was too windy for us. One cast and time to move on. It was more sheltered at Deganwy. De-gan-wy - I think the English translation is “Dead. Crabs. Weed”. Catch was enough crabs to fill the moat of Musselboys sandcastle. And, a mussel. Musselboy was happy. |

| A tip for next time, you were in the right place but fish it from high water for 3 or 4 hours down the ebb.
Unlucky on the blank. |

Musselboy is always telling me we leave too early. Does the water ever run clear here ? I am thinking floatfishing into the flow could be interesting. Maybe use a balloon, with a lot of line. Anyone for "Extreme fishing Deganwy" ? |

| There is a narrow channel in front of where you were fishing with mussel beds the other side.
You only need a short cast to be in the area where the flounders and schoolies are feeding. Cast too far and you will snag up and lose tackle on the mussel beds. |
