The plan was Tyn Tywyn on Anglesey after a Small Ray got to the beach and the wind was in my face had 2 Casts and it was a tad choppy so moved to T-Bay thinking the Coalfish might be in.
Fished 4 hours of the flood up to high that was at 21:00
Result = 1 pesky Whiting fished

Was the WSF winter league final match found myself trying to catch the smallest fish for the smallest fish pool  Only to be done over by me daughter   Just about sums up my winter league performance Very Happy

A great series of matches run by Mark with a great bunch of lads with a few new faces. It's great having new anglers joining us of all abilities learning and sharing knowledge. :thumbs-up:

Ended up in joint 10th position on 30 points (note to self must try harder)

Same plan. Plan A was to fish Tyn Tywyn but had to do T-Bay again. Rolling Eyes it was myself and Stu this time and with no reports of much being caught anywhere our hopes weren't high but we gave it a go.
Same sort of tide state and timings.

Result = 1 Whiting for Stu and a Small Coalfish for me

Mostyn up to high
Had some quality Rag left from the session with Stu so decided to try Mostyn for a Plaice.
Mainly fished into the bay where the wind turbine boats are.
Not a sniff on the Rag so tried into the channel resulting in 2 dogs. Not sure I've had many dogs at Mostyn before. confused

30/3/24 Talacre
Early start this one. On the beach for 5am fished until 9am
Bait was Prawn, Squid, Sprat and some other bits and bobs of refrozen bait.
The target was TB Ray or the very slim chance of a Hound
It was a cracking morning on the beach before sunrise

Results = 1 Dog, 4 Whiting and a Dab

Nice to hear someone is out and about Dyl.Great pics and report.
I've never tried it but,There's a spot between the old Flint market and the straight bit of road before McDonalds (left turn over a bridge) where there is a deep gulley in the sandbanks (back of some industrial units) it's a bit of a trek, but a good spot for plaice.I've been down there in the car,but the trek to the water was too much for my old legs.
I talked to an old Fisherman at Greenfield,he said you would be amazed at the number of species that go in an out of the estuary.
Good luck and tight lines "V"

Cheers for the into V I’ll have a look next time I’m in Flint.
Not sure how far down the Dee the Plaice travel. They certainly don’t get down to Dock Road

I think I know where you mean, fished there several years ago ( pre-dates this forum) the bit I wasn't comfortable with was where it meant parking the car, caught some good sized whiting that day, it is amazing the species that go up and down the Dee and use it as a " nursery" area for which reason there is a demarcation line upstream of which commercial fishing is not allowed, ( haven't checked my facts out on that recently)
.
Putting "Flint" in the search brings up some locations along the Dee Estuary
