Llandudno pier fishing charge

Went for a shopping expedition and walk around Llandudno today.

Tackle shop on the pier is long gone. You can still fish at the end though. The charge is now £10 (!) for all day.

Only saw three fishing off there today. Didn't look like they were catching anything.

I had put some fluff chucking gear in the boot to maybe try off the beach, but sea looked completely lifeless so we just enjoyed the views.

Handy info there! Do you know if you get a ticket from somewhere before starting to fish or wait for someone to rock along and charge you?

Any idea if night fishing there is still an option ?

"Fishing is currently permitted on the Pier Landing Stage at 8am – 8pm. Day Fishing Permits are available from the Café at Pier Head at £5.00 per person, on a first come first serve basis."

But the sign on the gate said £10. Might be cheaper if you can ask in Welsh

If you can speak Welsh it should be free.
