Splash Point

Hi all, has anyone fished Splash Point since the sea defence work finished. Have the rocks made access better or worse?

Haven't taken a close up look since the fencing came down, just a drive passed it. We'll miss fishing High from the old platform.

I still miss the "flashy light".

We never know,it might be an improvement.

I've just been down there to take pics only to realise I'd left my phone at home.
One door opens and another slams in my face!

That was the advantage of the old 'Brownie cameras'
They wouldn't fit in your pocket

I'm moving this to seafishing chat as it is not a fishing report as such.

Went down with my box brownie today, its rubbish at phonecalls but took some pics with the tide in.

There are two sets of steps, just room for one person to fish off each.

Fishing off the rocks looks unwise, ankle snapping and alreading starting to green
over.





this last pic is looking east of Splash ( towards the golf course) there is a distinct reduction from the former prom length steps to escape routes for anyone caught out by the incoming tide in this bay.
