Great White Shark Talacre

I'm going to need a bigger bait!

Can't find any record of a white being caught in UK waters. If someone hooks one they will be a record setter.

I am thinking sharks could be following the bluefin tuna.

Things could be changing,with the lack of mackerel,and the appearance of Tuna,maybe the Tuna are hammering the mackerel.
According to a few sites,even in Cornwall there has been a lack of mackerel.
I went out on a short mackerel fishing trip from Penzance a few years ago,and there was a massive Sunfish swimming alongside the boat.
Like Joe Brown said in his song,

'Fings ain't whot they used to be 

They are more likely to target seals, or fishermen!

I will keep trying a big hook big bait you never known whats out there.

So what do you do when after a 6 hour fight this fish is alongside your boat or just off the beach, it's over 12 feet long and as round as a 44 gallon drum, how do you get your hook back?

Put my arm in and take it of course.

One thing is for sure,it will not be coming aboard the boat, if I cant get the hook out along side with the long handle disgorger it can keep the hook.

In 1962,I went out with some Aussie mates in a boat atSemaphore beach in Adelaide.They took a dead sheep,a cable,and three .303 Enfield rifles.
they threaded the cable through the sheep,tied the cable to the transom,and threw the sheep over the stern.
It didn't take long befoe the cable started twanging like a guitar string.
Sharks,as the sharks attacked the sheep,they opened up on them with the .303's.It didn't take long before befoe the sharks started eating each other.
We were in the middle of a 'feeding frenzy'
I'd never seen anything like it.They asked me did I want to go water skiing the following week,I said'Erm,no thanks.
