After losing a lead on Thursday night's High I went back for a look over Low the next morning ( recovered it) and realised we'd been casting over the snaggiest bit there was, made a note to try 40 yards either side instead when returning for nightfall's High.
Gusting and rolling a bit too much for Tina's Bass rod until it calmed at High.
A bit like the night before just Weever before High
Bass time on the Ebb
Saturday morning I wasn't intending to fish but I was passing somehow found myself on the platform at Splash about to tackle up when I realised I'd left my bait in the van,
it's a bigger trudge back now with the Western access to Splash's platform closed from the Prom ( I'll put up a seperate post why as you may not be aware if you aren't local) and so I nearly didn't bother.
I'm glad I did,
Mrs Notbad turned up in time to take pics of the first of three of these
and excitement when a real good pull back, taking lug on a size two hook had me thinking there was a keeper Bass inbound,
I was almost disappointed it was a Starry Smoothhound instead
