46 anglers including 4 juniors fished CBVSACs Victoria open at Llandudno North Shore on Saturday 19th September.
There were plenty of fish around, with mixed bags of Dogfish and Whiting being brought to the scales, along with a few Tub Gurnard, but the undersized Whiting were difficult to get past.
R Hughes (of Holyhead?) won the match with a weight of 17-06-15lbs from A zone.
The next two places were taken by anglers who had made the long trip from the North East to fish.
Bill Sheppard was second with a weight of 15-10-08lbs also from A zone and Karl Nangle was third with 14-01-00lbs from B zone.
There were prizes for the top 2 anglers in each zone who didn’t make the top prizes.
In A zone K Wood ( J ) was the best of the rest as well as top junior on the night. He took the zone winners prize and the junior prize with 9-08-00lbs. Nigel Conlons 8-15-08lbs earned him the second in zone prize.
B zones winners prize was won by George Smith with 10-01-00lbs and Darren Jones got the second prize with 9-08-00lbs.
C zone was won by S Dewhurst with 13-11-00lbs and Mike Brooks was runner up with 9-07-08lbs.
The heaviest roundfish pool was won by J Wood with a Dogfish of 2-11-04lbs and no flatfish were weighed in.
Sue Williamson won the ladies prize with a weight of 00-06-00lbs from C zone.
The clubs next open competition is at the same venue in December.
