Christening my new toy

Here`s my latest acquisition, a Vega Dynasty 420 with an Akios Cobalt 80 reel, courtesy of Mr Price`s 20% off sale.
It had it`s first outing at Splash Point today.



First cast A fish, just like a whiting only littler



The next couple of hours produced about a dozen whiting and dabs, not a bad christening, and as I gained confidence in the rod it went a bit further on each cast.

Looks a good bit of kit, well done on the christening!

Well done Terry, I bought the exact same rod last year, it's a nice rod, it'll handle more than those pesky whiting, I had that smoothie on it from the breakwater with you and kev last summer matching purple sticks

My wife looked at the picture and said she likes the colour.

I chose the purple one from amongst a rack of various shades of orange, lime green and yellow, so I thought it was quite reserved Rhod

Stevo has the Orange one and for a bit of competition Arwel bought the yellow one
Won't lose either of them now
