New Venue Produces a Blank Empty
PostSubject: New Venue Produces a Blank   New Venue Produces a Blank EmptySat Sep 17, 2016 7:02 pm

As I'm working near Edinburgh for the next few weeks I thought a trip to the beach was in order but didn't fancy trekking into Edinburgh so last Saturday I paid a visit to Musselburgh next door Exclamation
Called into a tackle shop for some frozen lug but at £6 a pack I changed my mind and got a pack of blueys instead Neutral

I fished two hours upto high water but didn't get so much as a bite in the crystal clear waters Sad

I fished next to the harbour wall but next time I'm going to the right and I'll try the estuary instead now I know my way round a bit better thumbs up

Might be an idea to go further north rather than south, seals are always a pain.
I fished St Tudwells roads off Abersoch and did ok,but round the islands it was crap
because of the seals. They got their knives and forks out when they spotted us, lol!

I used to work near John o Groats 3 or 4 years ago and you'll see them everywhere along that coast line all the way up, nice to see but I'll be happy if they leave one or two fish for me Laughing

Good try after all the info i sent you.

If you are stuck for bait you could try the frozen packs of mussel, squid and prawns from the supermarket. I used to feed my fish on them and although the mussels werent as juicy as fresh ones, theyd do in an emergency and cheaper than those prices. Robbing jocks!
