bass at greenfield

met up with bryn dg and tim at greenfield to fish 2 up 2 down with hopes of a plaice or two. the sun was out and very little wind so made it a very pleasant day to be out wetting a line. i was first in with a plump plaice around the pound mark with my second cast. then bryn and then tim as it turned out that was my only fish of the day but bryn and tim did a lot better. come high tide bryn packed it in for the day he had 5 pin whiting and 3 plaice i think all returned. tim was doing well with the plaice and the pin whiting with a whiting and a plaice on the same hook. about 15 mins after bryn left tim had a little rattle and it turned out to be a bass about 4 inches long followed by a second same size. by this time i was trying to catch a pin whiting or anything that looked like a fish. so a few pics of the day

this was one of the 2 bass that tim had not the biggest but big enough to bring a smile to tims face
he was made up with them. so a great day out with the best of company and bass at greenfield

Nice to see there are still a few fish around.

Might have to have a bash soon.

I had an hour with some lures on the estuary by Ravenglass tonight after work hoping there may be a hungry Bass about but there wasn't
Great fun though
