Went to the local beach last night as there was a cracking surf on.
It had Bass written all over it fish
When I got down to the water (low tide) there was a local chap fishing who had just caught a 2 - 3lb Bass on fresh lug, which was plentiful. Things were looking good Cool

Bearing in mind I've fished all along here for 12 months or so and never caught a thing my hopes were high Rock on

I was told by the local that this beach fishes best 3 hours down to low which explains  (possibly) why I've always blanked here as I fish it over high or just as the flood starts  (excuses excuses) Embarassed

Anyhow on this occasion the Bass eluded me but I did get a flounder cheers
My first fish in Cumbria cheers lol! Rock on

Went agian tonight and foul hooked a tiny sand eel to save the blank lol!

Will add some photos when I'm home on the weekend bye

Nice one Dave, looks like the flounder only had 2 eyes which is always a good start up that neck of the woods. Suspect
