Was ment to be working bank holiday Monday ,but wet weather put a stop to laying bricks so ended up with a day off.. Quick phone calls and I arranged to meet gaz and my good old mate graham at mostyn for a two hour each side of low session..called by the ship first a spent an hour looking for peeler ,only managed two softies .brought half dozen frozen peeler I got left in my freezer ,with not much bait I called in the supermarket got a bag of raw prawns ,and loads of mussel when fishing from site....
My plan was two fish the two hour ebb with prawn and mussel and save my peeler for the prime time of two hour of the flood ...
As I thought I would just be feeding the crabs and I was right ,baits been stripped in 5 mins flat ....
.none of us caught on the ebb tide ,by the way the weather was shocking here and it wasn't much fun it was bucketing it down and never let up ...
Start of the flood I cast out plan lead with crab and had bite straight away ..
Thought it would get better ,but never had another bite ..
Graham had three
And gaz had one
A bad days fishing is better than a bad day at work though ,and it was good to catch up with my mates
Till next time .....
