after a great day out on the dabs with dave logger at talacre i had a run out to colwyn bay today
with ken 5 coats. as ken was looking for a cheap rod and reel i gave congerman clive a call and made arrangements to meet him at the arches as he was selling a pair of rods cheap with reels.ken had a rod and reel of clive and i had some lug pumping lessons witch was very helpful. so after a very good chat to clive we decided to fish the tide up for 3 hours from low hoping ken could break his new rod in.
there was a lad and his wife (i think) in a camper van he had a 4lb bass the day before and a nice sized whiting on the night tide so hopes were high. he was fishing to the left of us and i did see him land a dab no sure if he had any thing else. for me and ken it was a bit slow with ken having a blank and me getting a small bass 35cm to save my blank.
