I decided to kill a couple of hour's on my local canal today inspired by paul(notbad) I was hoping for a pike or two. Me and my daughter Shannon arrived at ashton canal with storm damage blocking the path way
we bump it to these two
were we was fishing you could see the home of football the Etihad
and another stretch of canal that we blank in
we decided to take 5mins
and then a canal boat came though
since we blanked here are some pics of the last time I was here

and this ruff the first one I've ever seen
we did blank today but it's great getting out with the kids so happy days it is

No it's really not a great place to fish a long the banks it's a proper s**t hole waste every were it's crap but it's local

Good report mate i used to fish the canal at stalybridge plenty jack pike/rudd/roach/ bream and good carp plus very nice perch upto 3lb
