Not a nice place to be

Our club match today was a low water rover, with such a small tide and in daylight the best option was Talacre, so despite the weather forecast 14 of the 16 anglers involved took the long walk out.
The wind was from the South for the first couple of hours, kicking up a sandstorm and making things a bit uncomfortable.



The fish didn`t seem to mind though, as everyone weighed in, some good bags of dabs and whiting, with the winner  Bill McLintock, .having 11 dabs and 9 good whiting for 4.62 kgs. these were all 32 to 34 cms.


Dave Lunt was 2nd with 18 dabs and 6 whiting for 4.43. His best dab was a good one,


Third place went to 17 and 4 whiting, for 3.84. I wasn`t far behind, 13 dabs and 5 whiting for 3.59, sharing fourth place.
The walk back was a killer, with the wind having turned Westerly and picked up again.
