The forecast said the weather would arrive about Low this morning
but it looked do able

A fish each on the first cast for me and Mehmet

The wind was building
and we were debating packing up for a bit and maybe fishing High

Then we saw Graham coming down the beach and as we'd three dabs and a whiting plus another hand caught whiting thrown a flapping and a writhing into the shallows by the whipped up flood we decided to stay a bit longer

As Graham set his gear down a full on gale suddenly arrived with the speed of an express train, over went Mehmet's rods, over went my rod, over went Graham's tripod and his bucket bounced off downwind with Graham in pursuit, whilst behind him the wind storm kicked his box open and showed the contents no mercy emptying the lot into the vortex before snatching the box itself and booting it brutally down the beach.

Mehmet and I were struggling to stay on our feet as we hastily took our own gear down, then snatched Graham's kit to safety before the advancing tide took it.

Meanwhile Graham had caught up with his box an incredible 400 yards away and was struggling back against the psycho wind.

With our tackle gathered up any which way we made it back to the prom
sand blasted, breathless and a bit giggly!

Check the forecast If you are thinking of fishing!

A windy/sand dune day and wonder why
Your rod hold all and rucksack feel so heavy
Only to find half a ton of pensarns finest sand
Stashed in the pockets/lid and bag itself!!!!
