Not my subject really, but mainly due to lack of knowledge rather than interest.
I did see a number of twitchers in Kinmel Bay last weekend. You know, the big camoflaged camera types. Word had it that a rare sighting had been made on Kinmel Bay beach.
I did wonder if it was Sinbad with a rod out! |

| For those interested there has been a large flock of Common and velvet scoters ( sea ducks) of Rhos Colwyn and a few at Kinmel which has brought out some twitchers with huge scopes and lenses.....At kinmel and the fforyd there have been the regular snow buntings and black redstarts. There is a web site www.northwalesbirding.co.uk ... which is a good site will let you know what is around. It is a good string to have in your bow if you are after Bass as certain birds will be give away as to where they could be feeding" purple sandpipers" being one of the most important most p.s.good skippers should know their sea birds:cheers: |

during construction of the n. hoyle wind farm, we took twitchers out on our boats doing bird counts mainly on the rare common scoter, only for the twitchers to find out that they were'nt rare around here, the last couple of weekends we've been heading out and seen probabley the biggest flocks we've ever seen, streching for over a mile_________________ I believe in conservation, if it looks like a fish .... put it back, if it smells like a fish .... eat it sea fishing trips www.fish-jensen.co.uk also on facebook under jensen sea angling |

Wouldn't that make it difficult for them to fly? |
