Talacre 31/12/13

Arranged to go fishing today with gaz and his partner Sharon , we met up at flint tackle get some bait etc. the rain had cleared up ,and it was turning out to be a nice day .would have liked to fish mostyn ,but way to much fresh water pushing through .so opted for talacre ,we where soon parked up in the pub car park ,Arrived in plenty of time so got kettle on and made us all a fresh brew ! ,talacre was packed with dog walkers ,always a popular place talacre ,I love the place ..after our brew we made the long walk to the green bouy , two hour each side of low was our plan.

I opted to fish bigger baits to see if mister coddo showed up again ,I've had them from here ,and always two hour in to the flood tide when there is a good pull ,but you after be gone two hour into the flood so you have to make the most of this little window of time .


Fishing was slow but a few whiting and dabs kept me busy ,if I used smaller baits then the dab count would have been much higher, but I got the cod bug back




It was a good day with good company ,no cod today but I really enjoyed it and nice end to 2013

Happy new year to everyone I know on the forum .roll on 2014 season my plan this year is to enjoy my bass fishing more fishing light and feeling the bites ,don't do enough of this style of fishing I love it .till next time .......

You can't beat a good session at Talacre, its well worth the walk

well done tim and all the best for 2014 nearly went to talacre my self yesterday but just didn't fancy the walk so went to colwyn bay
