Marine drive scarborough today 2nd november

Three of us set off this morning for Scarborough & marine drive as there have been cod coming off recently including a 15lber arrived at Scarborough straight to cosos shop for a selection of baits & a restock on weights as we were told to expect heavy tackle losses then off for a full English stuffed full we left the café intending to fish coffee pot over low & back up on to the drive its self for high.we got parked up walked across the road to have a look put the ladder over the wall & went over to See what sort of a climb down those acropods it would be & decided there was no way we could climb down safely so back to the van went looking further on the drive for somewhere we could fish from the top with a decent lift up so we would have a chance of getting anything caught back up the acropods.fished about six hours for one 3lb-7oz wrasse which Andrew caught although we were getting bites every now & again lost a few sets of tackle apiece too then it went black the wind got up it hailed & rained something shocking so our plan to fish into the night went out the window as we were soaked.Beats being bored at home though

Well done and some nice pictures. I fished there a couple of years ago but walked down the breakwater at the town end of Marine Drive you don't need a ladder there, caught lots of Flounder.

If you don't use a ladder you have to wait for the tide coming in and float up.
