Not much to report really. Fished quite a bit, caught not a lot. Hardly anybody did. Disappointing.
The only excitement of the week was a large mullet in the harbour - I guess 5lb+ . I tried for that with some bread only to watch it sucking on a mackerel head which had been thrown in for the crabs. (I have not seen mullet going for fish baits before.)
Long story short, a couple of us tried to catch that fish without success, and one who was not trying to (he was fishing with mackerel) had a hookup followed by a good scrap and then lost it close to shore.
Few pics plus kids crabbing. At least they caught loads.

Thanks for the report,
Heard of wrapping the line around a mackie but with bread on the hook before now, I do wonder if the way carp anglers rig a boilie or sweetcorn off the hook has potential for catching those suckers
