Hit Pensarn yesterday at about 12.30pm, gorgeous day but very windy on the beach, there were a few others already fishing when we got there..
Put some 4oz weights on and cast out some fresh Ragworm but the 4oz were struggling a bit holding bottom so plonked some 6oz on which were better but still not really holding, after nothing looked interested in the Rag we swapped for some frozen sandeel..
If you're eagle-eyed you'll see a broken tip-ring on Alan's rod (Right) and a broken 3rd ring on mine, as the bloody tripod kept doing this..
We really should pay more attention
As soon as we swapped the bait for some frozen Peeler we started to see some very decent knocks
Striking soon brought in nothing..waiting and letting it develop did the same
We soon ran out of Peeler and everything else we put on after had zero effects other than getting it very wet..
We enjoyed the few hours we were there but were getting hungry! So we packed up and left an empty beach..
Hopefully we'll be back next Tuesday as it's a much later tide
