Pensarn

With our wrecking trip blown off today Paul, Stevo, Ade and myself headed for Pensarn pipes to fish the flood
Conditions looked ideal for Bass with a comfortable westerly blowing and a decent surf
The beach was thick with Blow lug casts which I pumped for some juicy fresh bait  
 


Didn't help me though I blanked

We split our forces with Steve and Ade fishing the west side and Paul fishing more to the east (right in front of the 2nd pipe) and I was piggy in the middle having a go at a nice looking gully which turned out to be devoid of any fish
As the tide raced in and chased us back up the beach I headed towards Paul but I should have gone the other way as Steve had caught a Plaice and Ade had a Flounder then a Weever




Nobody got a photo of the Plaice but im sure it was a whopper
I left for home leaving Paul to slog it out still hoping for that elusive Bass

Not the kind of jelly performance I'd hoped we'd be reporting on today

nice report and pics dave pity about the blank  we all have them.   shame the boat trip was called off as you always build your self up weeks before and then your on a downer when its called off but there is always next time

Thought the chopper was part of the air display but not sure now, maybe keeping as low as possible en route to the Wirral with two of the  divers from Dorothea, the timing was about right

Well done on a good report and some nice pictures always great to see your trips. Can you explain Dave why we alway see Ade with fish on these pictures and never you, except for your one picture of course (the Plaice). Oh dear I mentioned it now I expect we will have to see it again now?

Nice report & photos shame about the blank but least ways you were out fishing better luck next time

Saw the helicopter flying over old Colwyn beach as I was walking the dog and wondered if it was part of the air display.... very sad.

I was wetting a line with friends on a sunny beach
and not blanking so my day wasn't to bad happy days

that plaice always comes up when he does not catch fish

Well Dave it's like this we have been trying to fix something up but thing have been very hectic here this year and getting a weekend together has just not happened, we nearly made it to the weekend camp and then had to cry off. We will keep trying and look forward to it when it happens.

I knew it it would have to come out again are you looking after it for him now Steve?
