Fantastic weather and calming conditions made for perfect fishing conditions onboard Suveran II.
The action was instant and non stop.
The staple of Whiting, Dabs and Dogfish were in abbundance.
Some nice Huss were coming in.
A few resident Plaice were joined by the migrant Herring, Mackerel, Red and Tub Gurnards.
I took a phonecall during the day that started with the phrase 'Summer Is Here!'.
With a sunburnt face and a fesh Mackerel for tea, I guess it has !!!!
Species caught - Dogfish, Whiting, Dabs, Mackerel, Herring, Plaice, Bull Huss, Tub Gurnard, Red Gurnard

My Dad fished splash point earlier and apparently theres been a couple caught there today  horrible little critters them...just like rockling but nastier For those who don't know, initial first aid is to apply heat to the wound, such as the contents of a flask, the heat breaks the poison down.   Don't forget that Suveran II is a Catamaran and offers a very stable platform. One of the lads that comes with us used to feel a bit jippy on a the old Suveran(a monohull) but hasn't had a problem on the new cat. You'll be fine Kev! |
