Isle of Wight Empty
PostSubject: Isle of Wight   Isle of Wight EmptyTue Nov 13, 2012 10:34 am

Just had a weeks holiday on the Isle of Wight with Kirky's dad and family.
We managed to fit in a couple of days fishing.
As we were stopping in Bembridge we thought we'd try fishing the harbour entrance as it was only a short walk away.

But the fishing wasn't good, the tide ran hard and we were picking up huge clods of weed and both of us blanked.

So it was off to find another venue. We had a look at the beach at Sandown but after some rough weather you can see for yourselves what the sea was like.

In the end we fished next to the RNLI station at Bembridge. Nice and sheltered, a good platform to fish off, great views looking back towards Portsmouth and a few fish.

Wouldn't go quite that far but they are good pics. Seems like you had an enjoyable time, good on ya.
