silver bar at penmeanmawr 18/8/2012

was itching to get some bass action ,but with the winds beeing south westlie and the beaches out at pensarn etc only produceing weavers in these condisions i was going to fish aberffraw for the first time . So my plan was to pump blow lug at penmeanmawr then of to the island ,but when i arrived at penmeanmawr i was surprised to see a nice little surf runing

So i decided to stay there save on fuel plus , my mate logger wonted to fish his local beach in old colwyn he didnt wont to travel because he traveled up to scotland a few times in one week on is job and he wonted a chilled weekend . So a quick ring to him and he was up for it with is lad jack tagging along . logger couldnt make it till 9 pm so it was up 2 me to collect the bait. most anglers dig blow here , but if you look around there is plenty of wet sand where pumping these big snakes is much much easer plus quicker , with in a hr and half i soon had two hundred fresh lug ready to drown. It was a good to be alive day i had a stressfull week at work and the kids not going to bed till silly oclock because of the school holidays, i wasnt to botherd if i didnt catch as it was just nice takeing in such a breath taking place, joker logger u are jammy buggers living there. I had a nice chippie tea and i was ready for action . high hopes of the bars feeding where droping a long with the weind as the surf dropped to almost nothing ,but on this venue you can always rely on the doggies ,some anglers hate them but i am happy watching my rod twanging at night with these little sharks plus some of them are a good stamp at this venue.first two hour of the flood in daylight produced no bites as what to be expected as the water was like tap water. check out this for a sun set

got set up for the high water mark at 9 oclock with logger and jack the lad ,none stop doggie action in the dark with some good uns plus doubles shots every cast




joker came along just for the crack ,thanks for coffee mate and top crab mate.dave and jack left at 1 am jack falling asleep on is box how what it like when your young.logger still a bass virgin and it wasnt going to happen for him this time ,the tide was ebbing strong now even though it was calm you can always have a chance of a bar on this venue
he only been gone 2 mins when i had a classic bass pull followed by slack line and a nice little bass of 38 cm lay on the pepples, phoned logger straight away, what do you think is reply was lol

another quick pull witch i missed and it was time to go home ,taking all three boys next sat on the dee dont think this session will be as chilling lol. till next time tim

well done on the siver tim, the nephew and me were fishing there sat night as well, was it you on the ramp? we had a few dogs between us

Fished pensarn low up for 3 hours,not a sniff bait getting stripped in minutes,think it's 11/2 miles futher west from now on.
